Have you ever done everything you could do with a burning heart to be a successful entrepreneur? But to your dismay, you still find yourself on the road of failure? The more you tried to stand, the more you fell. Your energy drained so does your motivation. You decided to end the battle that you could never win.
Here’s a piece of advice, it’s not only happened to you. It has happened to so many successful entrepreneurs you know today including Dato’ Dr Reza Ibrahim, founder and CEO of Maxxima Group of Companies Malaysia. But, in his story, he didn’t let the failures defeat him, rather he stood up and won the battle against failure.
Maxxima Resources (M) Sdn Bhd: Transforming lives

Dato Reza didn’t have it all-rosy. The multi-million company was built with blood, sweat and tear. He constantly had the thinking to quit but the other side of him wanted to prove to other people who doubted on his capability.
Maxxima Resources (M) Sdn Bhd a subsidiary company under Maxxima Group of Companies focuses on the production of nutraceuticals products through a legitimate home-based business, or in a simple term, direct selling model. Throughout the operation, Dato Reza only focuses on one mission – to transform lives and they have successfully transformed thousands of people’s lives along the way.
Maxxima provides a solid platfrom for people to be successful

When asked about his greatest achievement as an entrepreneur and leader, he shared with WargaBiz an amazing story of how he transformed one of his distributors.
“His name is Edy, a kampong boy, a rocker. The first time when I met him, honestly I have doubt whether I can help him or not. Well, his appearance wasn’t convincing at all. But again, I tell myself “You can’t judge people by their appearance.” Today, he’s a successful entrepreneur, driving an Audi. He has achieved so much in his life.”
For Dato Reza, Maxxima is not for himself. He’s doing it for the people – to provide a platform for them to actually believe that they can transform their lives too.
Getting through the lowest point in his life

But, his greatest achievements story aren’t the whole picture. Behind all those, lies the story of the struggles, the failures, the tough life and the defeats. Dato Reza failed a lot on his way to success.
“I didn’t come from a high-class family and I got married at a very early age. Raising three children, struggling with education, it was a tough journey. We have to make so many sacrifices, especially my wife.”
He further adds that he thinks he has failed as a husband when his wife had to donate blood to get a grocery voucher worth RM60 to feed the entire family.
“Yes, I’ve been to the lowest point that you couldn’t imagine. It’s not that I didn’t try. I’ve done a few businesses before, selling yong tau fu, nasi lemak you name it. But it all came to a dead-end,” he explains.
The turning point

A Penang boy, Dato Reza made the decision to pack up and move to Kuala Lumpur, looking for a better opportunity and hoping he could change his family’s life. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and that’s my single step,” he says.
Started his career in the pharmaceutical industry, he tried to gain knowledge in marketing and the industry as much as he could. Ultimately, he fell in love with the pharmaceutical industry and he saw the potential that the industry has. In 2010, the opportunity came and that’s the beginning for CellMaxx – a health drink supplement from the US.
“Entrepreneurship is all about battle. It’s about moving forward every single day to have that courage and expected a bullet to shoot you from any angle at any point.”
Based in Glenmarie, Selangor, Maxxima has grown to five countries. They have offices in Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia. Their profits tripled tremendously and became a sensation.
The future plan

The Maxxima Group of Companies has since expanded into various areas of the healthcare industry ranging from Maxxima Resources, Maxxima Capital to Maxxima Nutraceutical. He has a plan to get the company listed for the next 5 years.
“We are planning to expand worldwide and we’re working with a few R&D partners from the US and Japan to introduce a new product – the first innovation I would say in the market. It’s going to be a new phenomenon for the company,” he shares.

As for words of wisdom for those planning to start a venture of their own, Dato’ Reza has this to say, “Stop listening to others, people’s opinion is none of your business. You have to dare to dream and you have to believe in your dream. I suggest you have a daily goal rather than a yearly goal. I always like a daily goal, and my daily goal is just to do better than yesterday. So after 365 days, when I look at it, I’ve done 365 new things in life – I’ve achieved 365 goals in a year! So if you want to be a successful entrepreneur, this will be my valuable tips.” he ends.
